On Shrove Tuesday, 4 March 2025, Innsbruck's Maria-Theresien-Straße and, for the first time, the adjacent Sparkassenplatz were transformed into a cheerful and colorful carnival world. A varied program full of fun, music and surprises awaited visitors from 1 pm to 7 pm!
Creativity and fun for all children
Numerous play and exercise stations invited children to try out their skills, while sporting challenges provided fun and action. Of course, the popular make-up stations were not missing: bright colors, imaginative motifs and creative face painting added the finishing touches to the carnival costumes. The local gastronomy took care of the catering with a wide selection of food and drinks.
Rousing entertainment and living customs
On the stage in front of the Annasäule, a DJ act created a great atmosphere and invited all young dancers to join in the celebrations with a joint choreography by the Street Motion Studio dance crew. In addition, traditional groups from Innsbruck presented their artistically designed costumes and delighted the audience with their creative interludes. The Innsbruck Witches, the Fetzige Hexen from Amras, the Stadtgarde, the Jungmuller from Arzl and the Mühlauer Muller amazed the audience with theirdrucksvoll costumes and traditional interludes. The Igl men's ballet also took part this time.
Even more fun for the little ones at Sparkassenplatz
New this year: Sparkassenplatz became a special meeting place for the youngest carnival fans. Things were a little quieter here - but no less exciting! A lovingly designed games program, funny clowns, creative face painting and numerous creative stations invited children to let off steam and laugh.
