The weather gods were kind to the thousands of visitors who flocked to Innsbruck last Friday to store, stroll and enjoy as part of innsbruck@night. The extended opening hours until 10 p.m. left enough time to browse through the numerous stores and the shopping centers Kaufhaus Tyrol, Rathausgalerien, Sillpark and DEZ at leisure and into the evening and to pick up one or two finds.
Glowing, steaming and chains clanking - a magical program in the shopping streets
Especially in the late evening hours, when it actually gets darker in the shopping streets and arcades of the city, it became colorful, glowing and spectacular on this Friday. Silently rolling and colorfully flashing was Da Vinci with his time carriage on the road, steaming and humming hundreds of soap bubbles spread in the night sky. Golden shining lantern figures, dazzling balloon figures and colorful, giant balloons took the visitors into another world. The sparkling eyes of the herd of machine creatures, which consisted of old bicycles, trudged around together with their shepherds, also caused amazement and enthusiasm.
Crowning finale with luminous parade through Innsbruck's old town and city center
For the grand finale of this brilliant evening, all artist groups and marching bands gathered for a grand joint parade. Accompanied by the numerous shopping enthusiasts, a spectacular parade went through the old town and Maria-Theresien-Strasse up to the Annasäule and ended with a colorful gathering of all groups in front of the city tower. If it had been up to the audience and the numerous calls for encores, this evening could probably have gone on for a long time.
Big run on Life Radio wheel of fortune
With these great prizes, it was no wonder that the queue in front of the Life Radio Wheel of Fortune at the Goldenes Dachl was never ending. Numerous visitors tried their luck spinning to win, among other things, vouchers or products from these businesses:
